The Meadowlark’s Song

May 24, 2022 by Nadine Gordon

“…find out where joy resides,

and give it a voice far beyond

singing.

For to miss the joy is to miss all.”

Robert Louis Stevenson

Joy can be hard to articulate, so giving it a voice is a challenge. But it can be a very rewarding challenge.

      Absolutely, Tippy!
Meadowlarks give voice to my joy! One of my favorite sounds on the prairie! 😊

I’ll bet it’s nice, and a good reason to open the windows.

I can close my eyes and hear the meadowlarks’ calls from when I was a young girl. They don’t seem to be as abundant here as they were many years ago.
